Coco glucoside is a mild non-ionic surfactant made from renewable raw materials. It is biodegradable, free of ethoxylates, sulfates, and preservatives. The product thickens easily, foams well, and gives formulations smoothness and clarity. It is compatible with other surfactants, thickeners, and conditioning polymers, and is also suitable for transparent formulations.
In cosmetics, it is used in shampoos, shower gels, bubble baths, face and body cleansers, and baby products. It produces gentle, stable foam without irritating the skin and hair, and provides a moisturizing effect. It is used at concentrations from 2% to 20%, but in shampoos and bubble baths up to 30%.
In industry, it is used in cleaning agents, paints, coatings, textile and paper processing. It improves surface wetting and helps mix water and oil phases. In agriculture, it is added to plant sprays to improve the absorption of active ingredients.
Unlike other surfactants, coco glucoside is entirely plant-based, gentle on the skin, and suitable for natural cosmetics.
