Sodium lauryl sulfate is an anionic surfactant derived from coconut or palm oil fatty acids. It is one of the most widely used cleaning agents with strong cleansing and foaming power. Its amphiphilic structure allows it to break down fats and dirt, create creamy foam and ensure even distribution of products on skin and hair.
In cosmetics it is used in shampoos, shower gels, bath foams, shaving products and toothpastes, where it serves as the main base surfactant. It gives formulas rich foam and helps thoroughly clean skin and hair. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate also acts as an emulsifier, denaturant and thickener, especially in products with higher salt content.
This ingredient is unique for producing intensive and stable foam even at low concentration. It combines high cleaning efficiency with stable consistency and is a preferred choice for artisans and manufacturers who want to create safe and high quality products with excellent cleansing effect.
