OLIVEM 1000 is a plant derived emulsifier obtained from olive oil fatty acids and used in cosmetic formulation. It helps combine the oil and water phases into a uniform emulsion, improves product consistency and reduces the risk of ingredient separation. In suitable formulations, it can be used as the sole emulsifier.
OLIVEM 1000 is used in face and body creams, lotions, moisturising emulsions, hair conditioners and masks. It helps create a smooth, pleasant texture that spreads easily while supporting skin hydration.
The emulsifier comes in white to ivory flakes. It forms a layered liquid crystal structure that helps improve emulsion stability and consistency.

OLIVEM 1000 is a plant derived nonionic emulsifier for creating emulsions in which oil droplets are dispersed in water. Suitable for making creams, lotions and hair care products.

Usage guidelines
- Preparation: Weigh the water phase and oil phase ingredients separately. Add the emulsifier to the oil phase.
- Heating: Heat both phases to a temperature between 75 and 80°C. Stir the oil phase until the flakes have completely melted.
- Emulsification: When both phases are at the same temperature, add the oil phase to the water phase while mixing vigorously.
- Cooling: Continue stirring gently until the emulsion has cooled.
- Finishing: Add temperature sensitive ingredients and a suitable preservative according to their suppliers’ instructions. Check the pH of the finished product.
Storage and safe handling
Store in tightly closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature between 5 and 35°C, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid burns when working with heated ingredients.
OLIVEM 1000 does not replace a preservative. Adjust the dosage to the formulation and check the stability and suitability of the finished emulsion.
