When the candle burns, it creates a soft crackle like a fire in a fireplace, creating a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. Compared to a textile wick, this wick does not tip over in liquid wax.
100% environmentally friendly. It's made from naturally grown maple trees and has not been chemically treated! See below for wick size correspondence with wax and candle size.
Wooden wicks are particularly suitable for use in container candles (container candles), but can can also be used for making free-standing candles (only candles with a flat surface). Select the required size, cut the wick to the desired length and attach it to the wooden wick base (must be purchased separately). The wick will burn best if it protrudes no more than 5 mm from the wax at the time of ignition.
Wood wicks burn best in paraffin, paraffin-stearin mixtures or stearin. In soy wax or rapeseed wax, the burning quality is optimum only if two wicks are used together.
Below is a table with the recommended wick width for each type of wax and candle diameter. For vegetable waxes (soya, coconut, olive, rapeseed), always use two wicks together - place the flat sides of the wicks against each other and secure with one clip.
Always check the burning properties by experimentation.
For candles in a container:
| Diameter of the container | Paraffin | Stearin | Soy / Rapeseed |
| 45mm | 10mm | 10mm | 13mm |
| 60mm | 10mm | 10mm | 13mm |
| 80mm | 10mm | 23mm | 2x 13mm |
For pillar candles:
| Candle diameter | Paraffin | Stearin | Soy / Rapeseed |
| 50mm | 10mm | 10mm | 13mm |
| 100mm | 13mm | 13mm | 2x 13mm |
