The special glue for napkin decoupage on candles

Napkins are made of paper and candles are lit – so how does that work together? Candle decoupage glue is a transparent glue for candles. It ensures that napkin motifs adhere to the candle surface. No extra varnish is needed, because it works as both glue and varnish in one product.

It also contains a flame retardant. This helps prevent the paper napkin motif from catching fire if it comes into contact with the candle flame.

How are candles decorated with napkin motifs?

First, apply Candle decoupage glue to the candle. A flat brush helps spread the glue especially evenly. For this technique, only the top printed layer of the paper napkin is used. Carefully separate the motif and place it onto the glued candle surface.

Using a dry, soft brush or your fingers, gently smooth the motif into place. Let it dry briefly, then apply another thin layer of Candle decoupage glue over the napkin motif. This helps the motif burn down evenly later without burning up. Before lighting the finished candle for the first time, allow it to dry completely for about 24 hours.
