Melting procedure: The soap base is best melted in a double boiler, but can also be melted in a microwave. Heating the base above 72°C may cause the soap to dehydrate, reduce lather, and turn yellow. Add colorants, oils, or other ingredients. Pour the soap into the mould and allow sufficient time for it to cool and take the shape of the mould. Once set, remove the soap from the mould.
