Beeswax Heel Balm – Easy DIY Recipe

Beeswax Heel Balm – Easy DIY Recipe

Table of contents

Dry and rough heels benefit from regular care with a balm rich in oils and butters. This simple recipe combines beeswax with shea butter, olive oil and castor oil to create a rich, easy-to-apply balm for foot care.

As this recipe contains no water, the balm is particularly easy to make and does not require an emulsifier.

Ingredients

  • Beeswax — 10 g
  • Shea butter — 20 g
  • Olive oil — 25 g
  • Castor oil — 10 g

Yield: approximately 60–65 g of balm.

How to Make the Balm

  1. Place the beeswax, shea butter, olive oil and castor oil in a heat-resistant container.
  2. Heat in a water bath, stirring until the beeswax and shea butter have completely melted and the mixture is uniform.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir thoroughly once more.
  4. Pour the balm into a clean, completely dry container or jar.
  5. Leave at room temperature until the balm has completely cooled and solidified.

How to Use

In the evening, wash your feet and dry them thoroughly. Massage a small amount of balm into your heels and other dry areas of the feet.

After applying the balm, put on cotton socks to help keep the balm on your skin and prevent it from transferring onto your bed linen. Leave it on overnight. Use regularly or every evening as needed.

What Do the Ingredients Do?

Beeswax gives the balm its firm consistency and forms a protective layer on the skin that helps reduce moisture loss.

Shea butter is a rich plant butter that softens and conditions dry, rough skin.

Olive oil helps soften the skin and gives the balm a smooth, easy-to-apply consistency.

Castor oil is a thick vegetable oil that contributes to the balm's rich texture and helps keep the skin soft.

Storage

Store the balm in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Always take the balm from the jar with clean, dry hands to prevent water from getting into the product.

Tip: If your heels are particularly rough, soak your feet briefly in warm water before applying the balm, then dry them thoroughly.
